Education Sector

Education is like light. It extinguishes all kinds of darkness from the mind and heart of a recipient. It helps make a person confident, self-reliant and creative. Furthermore, education plays a vital role in sensitizing people to their surroundings or environment, imparting moral values, and creating a secular mind. By nature human beings seek for peace and development and these two terms are inherently linked to education. Peace does not only mean the absence of aggression and being free from the threat of war or violence. It is rather a state of mind that fosters and promotes a positive view towards life, beliefs, attitudes and values necessary to live in harmony with others in the community.

CSS visualizes a civilized society free from ignorance and social stigma with equal opportunity for all irrespective of race, religion, gender or ethnic background. In the pursuit of its mission the organization believes that increased access to education can significantly open up new doors of possibilities, and thereby contribute to poverty alleviation. As a development partner of the state, the focus of CSS is to align its education programs with the policies set by government. The aim is to make positive contributions in the delivery of basic education, increase social awareness on the value of education and help governments’ inclusive policy by reaching out children in the remote rural areas of the country.

CSS is currently implementing several formal, non-formal and technical education projects, including: Home of Blessings, Community Based Education Support Program, Leadership Training Program, Hope Technical Institute, Hope Polytechnic Institute, Jobs and Business Service, Reverend Paul's High School and Hope Non-formal Pre-primary School.
